Impact on San Antonio
Though well documented in 19th century photographs, few examples of San Antonio’s Spanish Colonial Residential Architecture remain. Characterized by flat or low pitched roofs over thick masonry walls with small openings, the climate may have proved less suitable for the prototype than in the arid desert southwest of San Antonio.
